What Your Contribution Could Do

$20	Provide a family of six with safe drinking water for up to 3 years
$250	Fund a high-quality advertisement which promotes healthy living habits such as hand washing and filter usage
$500	Supply a classroom with educational materials, water safety t-shirts, and 3 years worth of safe drinking water
$1,000	Fund a two day community workshop which provides free health and sanitation training including infant care, AIDS prevention, and healthy living habits
$3,000	Provide a filter factory with a hydraulic electric filter press, capable of making 200 filters per day
$20,000	Purchase all of the equipment needed for the establishment of a new factory
$60,000	Fund the establishment of a new filter factory including equipment, employee training, water testing, and promotion

 

 

Potential Projects

There are millions of people in the world without access to safe water. ClaySure has the potential to establish water filter factories around the world. The ClaySure Water Project is set to provide a mechanism of producing life-saving water to hundreds of thousands of individuals in need.

Hargeisa, Somaliland

ClaySure is in the process of installing a filter factory with the German Red Cross and Somaliland Red Crescent in Hargeisa, Somaliland. A feasibility study in April determined that the need for filtered water, availability of production materials, and filter market in Hargeisa are adequate for factory establishment. The ClaySure Consultant Team will return to Somaliland to begin production once all of the equipment has arrived at the factory site.

Haiti

The non-profit organization Theo's Work is considering the establishment of a water filter factory in Les Cayes, Haiti. A filter factory in Haiti would provide safe drinking water for individuals in the community. It would also provide employment opportunities for young adults leaving the nearby orphanage, allowing the orphanage to save its own resources for younger children who do not yet have the ability to support themselves.

Malawi

Tours of two ceramic factories in Malawi have confirmed the feasibility of filter production in the country. ClaySure is currently in communication with the factory owner regarding the establishment of a factory.

 

Uganda

An NGO in Uganda has expressed interest in the establishment of a filter factory. Filters from Kenya were shipped to Uganda, and tested for effectiveness and acceptance in the community of Nkokonjeru. Filters performed extremely well, and ClaySure looks forward to factory establishment.
